Once you have arrived at the lodge, together we will load up our kayaks and be on our way. The first 5 days you will explore the Broken Group Islands – a kayaker’s paradise. On the morning of day 6 you will get picked up by water taxi and transported to the Deer Group islands known for its sea caves and sea stacks. The next 4 days you will be exploring the islands, all the time searching for humpback and gray whales. Your last day will be spent in Bamfield visiting an ancient Huuyaht First Nations village site with standing hand carved corner post. We will be guided through the village by Stella the Huuayaht princess who will tell us about the history of the area and the Huuayaht people who have lived here for thousands of years.
