Itinerary for 4-Day Kayaking Tour of Clayoquot Sound UNESCO Biosphere

​Day 1 (9:00AM)

Meet at the bottom of First Street in Tofino, where your expert guide will provide kayaking orientation and safety demonstration. We'll load gear and begin your journey into one of the world's most spectacular coastal temperate rainforests.

Paddle 4-6 hours through pristine waters, with plenty of time for exploration and learning about this remarkable ecosystem. Your guide will prepare a delicious lunch while you absorb the incredible surroundings. We'll establish camp on beautiful Vargas Island, where you'll set up your tent as guides create our outdoor kitchen.

Dinner is served between 6-7 PM, followed by campfire stories and peaceful reflection under the vast night sky.

Days 2-3

Rise early to catch the sunrise painting the ancient forest in golden light. Breakfast is ready between 7-9 AM, giving you time to savor your morning coffee in this cathedral of nature. Depending on conditions, we may move camp or stay put—your guide will choose the best option for optimal exploration.

These days bring new beaches to discover, each offering glimpses into vast intertidal ecosystems and opportunities to learn about the ancient First Nation village sites that dot Clayoquot Sound. Every paddle stroke takes you deeper into this living museum of old-growth forests and pristine coastline. Walk among giants—some of these cedar and Sitka spruce trees have stood for over 1,000 years, silent witnesses to countless generations.

Day 4

Your final morning in paradise includes one last sunrise among the ancient trees. After breakfast and breaking camp, paddle back toward Tofino, arriving in time for a late lunch, hugs and goodbyes.
